Brothers & Sisters of Houston Metro FOP Lodge 98:
An important time is upon us! The following positions for the Executive Board will be open for nominations at our next meeting: President, Secretary, 2nd Vice President. The term of service is for two years.
As per our constitution, any brother or sister in good standing that has not ascertained the rank of Sergeant or above is eligible to be nominated for the listed positions. “Any member wishing to be nominated for office needs to be present at the August general membership meeting of the calendar year that their position comes up for election or submit a “Letter Accepting Nomination” to the Lodge prior to or at the August meeting.” (FOP 98 Constitution, Art. IV, Sec. 4, Par. F)
A text version of our Constitution & By-Laws are available on our website: FOP98.org in the “Members” section. There the eligibility/nomination/election process is detailed in full. All members are encouraged to attend the meeting to provide nominations and to have their voices heard in all FOP 98 business. An Election Committee will be formed during the next meeting and volunteers are needed.

Our Lodge has gone through trying times these past several months. The entire Executive Board is happy to announce that the leadership transition was a success and that we are excited about the future of our Lodge. Transparency is now the order of business and all members are encouraged to attend the meetings to learn the status of the Lodge and where your dues are going. We are emerging stronger and wiser as the Lodge is growing and moving in a great direction.
